It's Raining again lo ~
Today...
Is a slow day for me. Attended EA in earLy morning, then the Econs lecture. Then, here i'm at in the school library, doing .....
I tell myself that i'm gonna focus on getting my SW term paper done, or i'll be in real deep trouble soon. In addition, i gonna prepare for my EA test, EA presentation and Econs tut. All by Wednesday!! (Wow, that's cool hor...)
After tryin to focus on my notes, i turned and looked at the windows over to the other side of the study area. Wow, it finally rains again (other than yesterday)... haha...
I was praying for rain for the past weeks lo (sort of :P), for the weather was so bad!! It's bad still though. When one looks around the surrounding, u can actually thot that you're in a cold country with fog around. But... It's hazE!
The rain is pouring hard now, come on, don't stop yet yo... Although i know that later i'll be having troubles getting out of the school without an umbrella. (hehe) Hope the rain will make improve the weather. Due to the haze, most people has been sick lo. And this popped something into my mind...
Why are we being so complacent and easily push around by other people? When we have something or someone around us, we tend not to notice and cherish it, when it's gone, then we fall in dispair. Being mindful do help in reminding ourselves to stay at the present moment and not to focus on the past and future but NOW. Past can only serve as memories and lessons to be learnt, while future is ever changing and uncertain. So why should we think of them when we're doing something or being with someone NOW?
This present moment is ever changing too, it'll be gone in a flash before you can even notice it.
Moreover, when we're in a difficult situation, we tend to give in and said it's ok, never mind. Well, sometimes, i think we gonna have our stands and we reserve the rights to express what's on our minds and not be led around by others! Even as a good tempered person and a good buddhist, I think we should not be seem as a group of people who can be easily taken for granted by others and easily push over. When the needs arises, we can stand up and say "No" to people. It is with this good intention of not to create any conflicts that we often give in. But most do not see it as the case.
“以和为贵”cannot be used everytime. Sometimes, we need to voice out and let our presences known. if actions need to be done, it gonna be carried out and be done with. We should not be a conformist!
-- few cents of my thoughts :P --
~ Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.
~The Secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, not to worry about the future, nor to anticipate troubles, but to live the present moment wisely and earnestly.
