Om Retreat 2006

Om Retreat 2006 - 24 Dec to 31 Dec 2006 (Sun,10pm)
(THE 100 MILLION MANI RECITATION RETREAT)

During the December holidays last year, I went to the Om Retreat at KMSPKS with some of my Dharma Frens, such as JuNe, JuliAna, ShUi Zhu, YaO Tang, Mei XuAn, SharOn and some others. ^^ It was led by His Eminence Tritsab Gyabra Rinpoche (above).

As you can see from the picture on the left, there were many people came for the retreat and you can see the sitting arrangements too...

From this view, that's where we're sitting and we're beside the Buddha's statue...

We recited the “The Six-Syllabled Mantra 'OM MANI PADME HUNG'.

"It
is the heart mantra of Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattvas (Guanyin) and the essence of the Buddhas. The mantra embodies perfect compassion, and is the core of the 84,000 Teachings of all the Buddhas.”

~ His Eminence Drubwang Konchok Norbu Rinpoche ~

Here are some of the pictures during the Retreat, some were taken by our kind sis, Juliana...

I went for the whole course and even took the Eight Precepts Ceremony, tat's the 1st time in my life.. wow.. tat's was definitely not an easy task... furthermore, i took Refuge again...

This retreat was one of the amazing one among other which I've attended...
Learnt much useful teachings, had amazing experiences, met wonderful friends...

Here's a picture taken with some frens and the Lamas at the end of the retreat.

See how happy we're.. hee..

Finally, we've accomplished it! Some members came for some days, while some came for the whole course. Nonetheless,we all have "fun" and have our fair share of "training"...

a group picture again ^^

In this picture, Edmund and other NYPBS members came to join on the last day of the retreat.

One of the motivations for coming to this retreat, was due to my earlier participation of the previous OM Retreat - which was with my SPBS seniors, especially, Shu Kai... (Thank you so much, SK)...

There were different experiences gained during the 2 retreats... For this, it ends as a starting point for somethings and an ending point to somethings...
